Grassroots football has been accorded the biggest recognition yet as the regional Brong Ahafo U15 teams will be offered the platform to thrill football lovers at the Sunyani Technical University.
The match, between Brong Ahafo Team A and Team B, kicks off at 7AM on Saturday morning as Team George Afriyie opens their grand manifesto launch in the Bono regional capital.
The football festival is a testament of the CAF AFCON Organising Committee’s passion for the game especially at grassroots level.
Women’s football, which is also one of the key areas demanding attention, will also feature on the bill. Techiman-based Ampem Darkoaa Ladies will face off with Prisons Ladies at 7:40 AM.
“Featuring the regional U15 teams show the level of interest and passion Team George attach to grassroots football as well as women’s football. We invite everyone to come and witness the restoration of Ghana football,” Brong Ahafo region campaign coordinator Kwabena Kyere Stugard told Ghana Sports.
