Winfred Kwaku Osei “Palmer” has reportedly lodged an appeal against the Vetting Committee’s decision to disqualify him from the Ghana Football Association Presidential race.
The Tema Youth owner was thrown out of the race for failing to oblige by an agreement with the Ghana Football Association over a player transfer.
“Palmer” as he is affectionately called is said to have refused to pay the FA a said amount of money agreed in any player transfer from a registered Ghanaian Club to a foreign Club, a situation which forced the vetting committee to deny him a chance to stand as the next FA President.
Latest reports indicate the football administrator has officially appealed against the decision requesting the committee to rescind their verdict and reinstate him back.
As it stands, legal practitioners Amanda Clinton and George Ankomah Amoah, George Afriyie, Fred Pappoe, Nana Yaw Amponsah as well as Kurt Okraku remain the eligible candidates to contest to the position with election slated for October 23.
