Celebrated football administrator Harry Zakkour has strongly called on Randy Abbey to offer his support to George Afriyie in the Ghana FA Presidential race.
Afriyie is hugely considered to be the front-runner among the seven aspirants waiting to be confirmed by the Vetting Committee of the GFA Normalisation Committee.
Zakkour is regarded as a cult figure in Ghana after successfully managing giants Accra Hearts of Oak and earning the tag MILLENNIUM CHAIRMAN due to his injection of cash, strong links, and implementation of modern day ideas.
Whilst the 69-year-old is a strong believer in George Afriyie and has called on all to support him Abbey is yet to make a public endorsement of Afriyie.
And, Zakkour has called on the former Hearts of Oak PRO and host of Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana show to offer his backing to Afriyie.
“I support George Afriyie to become the GFA President because with someone like him we can be rest assured that football can be restored. I support Randy Abbey too to win the ExCo seat. Randy should also support George to become the President,” he said.
Afriyie received the highest number of endorsement for his nominations among all aspirants in the Presidential race.
Twelve out of the sixteen Ghana Premier League clubs all endorsed Afriyie.
