Friday’s Regional Football Association elections results in Ghana has further tilted the Football Association’s Presidential race widely in favour of ‘already-leading candidate’ George Afriyie.

Contrary to clueless publications and claims of victory swing and power retention from old horses Ghana Sports’ checks have revealed that only two candidates from the regime regime retained their seats.

Ghana Sports’ checks further confirm that eight winners out of the ten are men who have firm believe in the ideas and vision of George Afriyie and have pledged their support for him even weeks before they went into the polls.

A shocking revelation shone light on the unwavering popularity of George Afriyie among delegates of the RFA elections as one candidate has been exposed for canvassing for votes in his name.

The Ghana FA Presidential elections is slated for October 25.

The elections, which has produced 10 new regional association heads, saw Alhassan Abu Mahama and Linford Asamoah recording resounding victories in the Northern and Eastern regions.

Raphael Gyambrah defeated Dr Charles Antoh to claim the seat in the Brong Ahafo region while Salifu Zida retained his seat in the Upper East region.

There were victories for Robert Duncan as well as Simon Ehomah in the Western region who claimed victory over James Kainyah and another candidate.

Below is the full list of winners from Friday’s elections.

Salifu Zida- Upper East
Robert Duncan- Central
Yahaya Sadugu- Upper West
Daniel Agbogah – Volta region
Alhaji Abu Alhassan Mahamadu-Northern
Ralph Gyambra – Brong Ahafo
Simon Ehomah – western region.
Linford Asamoah – Eastern region
Katah – Greater Accra
Osei Tutu Agyemang – Ashanti region.
