Ghana Football Association Executive Council candidate Kingsley Osei Bonsu has pledged to be the voice of transparency and accountability if he is voted to be on the second highest decision-making body of the football regulatory organ in the country.
The experienced football administrator is running on the ticket of former CAF Confederation Cup campaigners and MTN FA Cup winners Bechem United to be on the council.
Osei Bonsu, whose illustrious achievement in football includes being on the first GFA Executive Committee that worked tirelessly to secure qualification for the Black Stars to the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, has played instrumental roles in the restructuring of lower division football in the country and also helped secure promotion for Aduana Stars to the Ghanaian second-tier division.
Most football followers in the country identified issues of transparency and accountability as the main bane that contributed to the fall of the Kwesi Nyantakyi-led GFA administration. Much is expected of the next GFA hierarchy with keen interest in issues bothering on the aforementioned.
And, Osei Bonsu who is highly tipped to win one of the five slots available to Premier League clubs, has said the next ExCo will pay key attention to issues of transparency.
