Yaa-Naa, the powerful overlord of Dagbon, has enkined George Afriyie as football chief in Ghana.
The almighty chief confedde the title on the Ghana FA Presidential candidate when he paid a courtesy call on him at his Gbewa Palace in Yendi on Tuesday.
Afriyie, former Ghana FA Vice President and his campaign team, arrived in Tamale on Tuesday afternoon and headed straight to the powerful palace to pay homage to the ruler of the town.
Afriyie is regarded by many as the best candidate to win the Ghana FA Presidential race with Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko and Medeama publicly expressing their support for the Liberty Professionals director whilst committing their votes for him.
The one-time Ghana FA Juvenile Committee chairman launched his campaign manifesto on Saturday in Sunyani and outlined his One Player One Ball policy and pitch construction in his bid to revive football at the grassroots level.
Afriyie and his campaign team will continue his tour of the three Northern regions as they seek to solidify their support and assure delegates of his commitment to restore Ghana football.
