Ghana’s chase to have AZ Alkmaar goal freak Myron Boadu has ended after the player earned an invite to the Dutch National team.
The striker has been knocking on the doors of the Oranje despite growing interest from his native country Ghana.
Boadu has been scoring for fun in the Dutch eredivisie and Europa League this season, a performance which prompted Netherlands Coach Ronald Koeman to name him in the squad to face Northern Ireland and Estonia in the UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers.
When featured in any of the two games, the 18-year-old will no longer be eligible to represent Ghana at international level.
Ghana in the past have missed out on the likes of Mustapha Riga, George Boateng and Memphis Depay to the Dutch National team.
