The year of return edition of the Azumah Nelson fight Night has been launched.
The event which took place at the De’lish restaurant in Accra on Friday was to unveil the boxers for the Night.
In attendance was the Treasurer of the Ghana Boxing Association, Lord Acquaye, rep from ABSA Cyril Nail, Corporate Affairs Executive for GOIL Joseph Hammond as well as Annabelle Renee McKenzie who is the manager of the Year of Return.
Famous among the boxers were former Olympian Manyo Plange, Ishmael Tetteh and Musah Lawson.
This edition of the Fight Night will be used to commemorate the celebration of the “Year of Return”.
Boxers will battle each other on December 27 at the Bukom Boxing arena.
In the PBC Lightweight and interim National Lightweight title, Michael Ansah alias “Bullet” will take on Benjamin Lamptey.
Felix Ajom of the Bronx gym battle out with Michael Pappoe from the Panix gym.
Other bouts will see Ishmael Tetteh scuffle out with Delali Miledzi in the Super Middleweight contest.
The International Super Welterweight contest will have Ghana’s Musa Lawson fighting Naimou Samson Aziz from the Republic of Benin.
Faisal Abubaka from Ghana will also open up a contest with Benin’s Sossa Cudjoe Hypolite.
Former Olympian Manyo Plange will fight Isaac Nettey in the Super Bantamweight contest.
This will be the eighth edition of the Azumah Nelson Fight Night which began in 2015.
