Songne Yacouba could renew his contract with Kotoko before the start of the season.
Yacouba’s running deal with the Reds is set to elapse in few Months time and the former Ghana Champions are willing to have him extend his stay with the Club.
The Burkinabe, 27, penned a two-year deal with the Porcupine Warriors in 2017 as a free agent.
Having had several offers from the likes of Orlando Pirates, Al Ahly, Zamalek and Al Hilal fail to materialize, the Ghanaian giants are now set to offer him a new deal, an improved contract to have him stay at the Club at least for the next couple of years.
Insiders reveal the former Stade Malien forward will meet with Management of the Club in the coming days to possibly sign a fresh deal.
It emerged the former Burkina Faso youth player was pushing for a move away from Kotoko some couple of Months ago.
Kotoko is also said to have rejected a $300,000 offer from South African giants Orlando Pirates who were keen to sign the player.
