Ghana international winger Christian Atsu was in fine shape for Newcastle United who secured passage to the next round of the English FA Cup after beating Rochdale 4-1 on Tuesday at the St James’ Park.
The Black Stars forward started the game and played full throttle as his side booked a 5-2 aggregate win.
Newcastle closed the first-half with a resounding 3-0 leading before scoring the fourth in the second-half with Rochdale pulling one back on the 86th minute mark.
Atsu was restored to the starting line up by the manager and he impressed for the period he lasted on the pitch.
