Liberty Professionals helped themselves to their first win of the season at the expense Ebusua Dwarfs who have now failed to pick a single point from their opening four games of the season, leaving head coach Robert Assibu to leave his role.
The Crabs took the lead when Seidu Abubakari scored first to put them in front moments after Ernest Papa Arko’s wonderful free-kick which clearly traversed the line was disallowed by the referee.
But, Mubarak Alhassan pulled parity for Liberty midway through the game before Rudolf Mensah handed David Ocloo’s side their first win of the season with a clinical strike.
The defeat has head coach Robert Assibu hand in his resignation after failing to pick a point from their opening four games of the season.
The former Elmina Sharks and Eleven Wise coach told officials he would not be able to carry on for the remainder of the season.
This means the Crabs will have to travel to Kumasi to face wounded Asante Kotoko with a substantive head coach.
