New Edubiase United staged a strong performance to hold Sekondi Hasaacas to a pulsating 0-0 drawn game in the Zone 2 of the Zonal Division One League on Sunday.
The Movers were in superlative form as they dominated the hosts, stifling and gagging their midfield and posing constant threat to their defensive set-up which consist of the experience Abeiku Ainooson.
The former Asante Kotoko and Black Stars B defender had to be at his best to deny Edubiase snatching the win twice and was voted the Most Valuable Player of the match for his outstanding display in defence.
In one moment in the second-half Edubiase striker Abdul Basit rounded up two defenders and successfully beat the goalkeeper and was set to pull the trigger when he was hacked down inside the box.
Edubiase went into the game without instrumental and experienced players like Stephen Manu, Ricky Adjei Mensah and James Boadu.
The two former Ghana Premier League sides sold out a good display of football to fans who went to the match venue to witness the match.
Edubiase United will play their first home game of the season in Assin Fosu on Wednesday.
