Mascots remain significant in the game of football. They are mostly used for brand identification to some extent for merchandising.
Dreams FC remain the only Club in Ghana with mascot. The initiative by the Dawu Club is the first of its kind in the history of Ghana Football introducing it after earning promotion to the Ghana Premier League.
Just like any other mascot, “Believer” as he is affectionately called has been entertaining fans during match-days. Fans also use the opportunity to take photographs with “Believer” on their visit to the Theater of Dreams.
Speaking with TV3 Sports, Believe reveals he will serve Dreams FC till eternity.
“My work is to entertain the fans, I share biscuits to the kits during match-days, and some also take pictures with me.
“I love what I do and so for as Dreams FC is concern I will do this till I die.”
Cubs could soon adopt the initiative set up by Dreams FC in the coming seasons.
