Dutch-born 2019 Ghana U23 AFCON defender Robin Polley registered his first ever league goal with a 20th minute opener for Dordrecht when they suffered a 2-1 home loss to De Graafschap in the league.
The 21-year-old on-loan ADO Den Haag thundered home the opening goal for his side after 20 minutes but they watched on as Graafschap crawled back to snatch the maximum in the first-half.
The first-half ended with a 2-1 deficit but the host were unable to draw back into the game.
Polley left Den Haag to Dordrecht for footballing reasons and it seems he has started off on a sound mark as he has featured in six league games in the Dutch second-tier league.
He was born in Rotterdam to Ghanaian parents with his father being Ghana international and Asante Kotoko goal-poacher Prince Polley.
In 2016 he joined Feyenoord U18 side from Sparta Rotterdam U18 but he didn’t remain at the Dutch giants for unknown reasons.
He was invited to represent Ghana at the 2019 U23 AFCON in Egypt and he was deployed in offensive role by head coach Ibrahim Tanko.
