Nigerien striker Victorien Adebayor further enhanced his scoring credentials by netting his SEVENTH goal of the campaign as Inter Allies split points with Legon Cities FC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.
The 23-year-old workaholic forward has now bagged four goals in his last two games and is set to challenge Yahaya Mohammed for the Ghana Premier League goal-king gong.
Allies were searching for their third successive win of the campaign but they were hauled in their strides by a Cities side who looked well off colour.
Allies were awarded a deserving penalty on the quarter of an hour mark when Desmond Abuga was felled inside the area.
Adebayor stepped up and firmly planted the ball beyond the reach of the goalkeeper for his seventh goal of the league season.
Former Ghana U20 midfielder Jabila Abdul Karim restored parity for Cities when he also converted from the penalty spot midway through the game.
Cities’ Jeffrey Degorl was named the NASCO man of the match at the final whistle.
