Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Boateng has quashed reports indicating his contract has been terminated by Israeli Club Hapoel Tel Aviv.
Hapoel Tel Aviv were said to have cancelled the player’s contract after he refused a pay cut at the Club.
The Israeli Club were said to have requested players to receive pay cuts due to the Coronavirus pandemic which have halted football activities.
Reports had it that the former WAFA man was among players to have refused a pay cut hence their contracts being abrogated, a claim the 22-year-old has denied.
“Hi everyone, my attention has been brought to news flying online purporting to the fact that my employment contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv has been terminated for supposedly refusing a pay cut.
“Kindly ignore all such news because there is no such case.
Boateng moved to Hapoel Tel Aviv from Ghana Premier League side Aduana Stars last year.
