Ghana female International Priscilla Adubea is harboring dreams of winning the Africa Women’s Footballer of the Year Award.
The Spain-based forward has already made a mark in Ghana after finishing as top scorer in the National Women’s League on two successive occasions, a feat which earned her a contract to Spanish Women’s top-flight side Sporting de Huelva.
Ex-Black Queens captains Alberta Sackey and Adwoa Bayor remains the two Ghanaian to have ever won the Women’s player of the year in Africa.
Adubea wants to join her predecessors and get her name in the history books.
“Yea for sure, I am hoping for that, that’s my aim, I listen to my Coaches and personally I feel anything you do you have to set a target and that is my target and am working towards that,” she said during a twitter conversation with TV3’s Juliet Bawuah.
“It is a matter of time, the likes of Oshoala started just like me and they are making it now and I know my time will also come.”
The 2017 SWAG female Footballer of the Year missed out on the Black Queens squad for the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations due to injury.
