Asamoah Gyan has revealed a fallout with former Ghana Coach Kwesi Appiah after the former lost his role as the substantive captain of the Black Stars.
Appiah made Andre Ayew captain of the Black Stars prior to Ghana’s participation at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, a decision which raised lots of eyebrows.
The decision however saw Gyan resigning from the National team but rescinded after the intervention of the President His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo.
According to the NorthEast United forward, he is yet to come to terms with his former Coach after losing his top position in the team.
“Honestly I think the relationship is a bit broken because of what happened,” Gyan said in an interview with TV3’s Juliet Bawuah.
“I don’t know whether its his conscience or it is my conscience but the relationship (gap) between me and him is a bit wide.
“Because I haven’t spoken to him in a while which is a bit strange,”
Gyan,33, is yet to announce his retirement from the National team despite missing out on recent call-ups.
