Belgian Pro League side Royal Antwerp have decided against extending the contract of Ghanaian defender Daniel Opare, according to reports from Belgium.
The 29-year-old former FC Porto and Augsburg defender has just a month left on his contract.
Opare joined Antwerp in 2018 summer after ending his spell with Bundesliga outfit Augsburg.
However limited playing time and off the field complications including a persistent knee injury blighted the last days of his stay at the club forcing the club not to consider extending his deal.
Opare won the 2009 FIFA U20 World Cup with Ghana and joined Real Madrid in 2008.
The former AshantiGold Academy product left Madrid to join Standard Liege and went ahead to make countless impressive appearances for them.
