Crystal Palace fans have settled on Jordan Ayew’s cheeky finish against West Ham United in the Premier League as the greatest ever goal scored at the Selhurst Park since 1924.
The ex-Marseille forward artfully Declan Rice with cheeky ease and went ahead to dribble three other West Ham players before calmly chipping the ball over the reach of goalkeeper Roberto Jimenez.
Ayew had earlier set up Cheikhou Kouyate in the 68th minute to level up the scoring after Robert Snodgrass had scored a 57th minute opener. The Ghanaian then shouldered the loads of netting the winner as he scored a beauty in what was virtually the last action of the game to secure all three points for the Eagles.
Football.london, an English football portal, asked Crystal Palace fans to vote for the best goal they have seen at their stadium since it was built in 1924 and Ayew’s wonder goal was voted the best ever by the fans.
