Ghanaian winger Ishmael Yartey has revealed playing in Saudi Arabia has offered him a new side of experience and has told Ghanaian television OMY TV where he might play next.
The 30-year-old former Benfica star joined Saudi side Hetten in late January after leaving Finnish side Kokkolan PV and bagged 3 goals and two assists in 5 games before the league was suspended due to the COVID-19.
Yartey, a 2007 Ghana U17 starlet, reveals shops in the Western Asia country have been allowed to operate until 5PM because of the Ramadan fasting – a situation which has somehow lessen the burden of the lockdown.
The lightning-pace winger, who also featured in the French Ligue 1 with Sochaux in the past, also explained why he overlooked offers from European clubs to move to Hetten after completing the season with KPV in the Finnish top-flight league.
Below is the interview which aired on OMY TV on Monday.
