Maritzburg United chairman Farook Kadodia says his side is in no rush to release goalkeeper Richard Richard Ofori.
The Ghana number one has become the hostess commodity in South Africa with the likes of Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs all willing to sign the 26-year-old.
Ofori’s Maritzburg contract runs out in June 2021, a situation which keeps the three South African powerhouses in line for his signature.
Kadodia however insists they will need to weight up options and consider the interest of the goalkeeper before making any move.
“I think the important thing is that there must be a willing buyer and a willing seller. We would love to keep players happy in the team, look at their future and if any offers would improve their future,”Kadodia told journalists.
“Then we can certainly look at it. But we can’t be desperate to go out in the market right at this moment.”
Maritzburg United signed the former Ghana U20 goalkeeper from WA All Stars in two years ago after Mamelodi Sundowns failed to offer him a deal despite successful trials with the Club.
