There was no specific timeframe for the return of domestic football during the Sports Minister’s interaction with the media on Wednesday concerning the easing of restrictions of Sporting activities.
Hon. Isaac Asiamah, the sector Minister touched on various issues concerning restrictions on Sports.
The Minister also revealed some plans and measures put in place to ensure that other non-contact sporting disciplines which have been given the nod to resume training observe the necessary protocols.
He further mentioned plans which have been put in place to fumigate the various stadia in the country.
Asiamah however failed to give a roadmap as to when the game is expected to return despite revealing some possible cost involved to ensure the return of football.
Football in the country is currently in a standstill due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
President Akufo-Addo on Sunday eased up restrictions on Sports after giving the green lights for non-contact sports to resume training.
The President have further extended restriction on Sports until July 31 leaving the Ghana Premier League, Division one League and Women’s Premier League in limbo.
