FIFA announced a support plan to its member associations who will be benefiting from a USD 1.5 billion relief fund amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
As part, all member associations will receive an additional grant of USD 500,000 which will be allocated specifically to women’s football as stated by the World Football governing body.
“A universal solidarity grant of USD 1 million will be made available to all member associations, and an additional grant of USD 500,000 will be allocated specifically to women’s football. In addition, each confederation will receive a grant of USD 2 million,” part of FIFA’s statement reads.
This automatically sees the Ghana Football Association benefiting from the package from FIFA.
