Ghana Premier League side XI Wonders have failed to pay their player salaries for the past four months, according to midfielder Godfred Kwadwo Asamoah.
Asamoah, 24, was in electrifying shape for the Techiman-based side winning the Most Valuable Player award in their 2-0 home win over Elmina Sharks in December 2019 in the suspended league.
The former Dreams FC midfielder has told Sunyani-based Nimdee FM that he is only surviving by the grace of God as the club has failed to pay players salaries for four months.
“Even before COVID-19 payment of salaries wasn’t anything good to write home about. For the past four months we have not been paid salaries and this is affecting us. But, we don’t go hungry by the grace of God,” he said.
Asamoah was one of the hottest prospects in Ghana two seasons ago and was hotly pursued by AshantiGold and Hearts of Oak but he opted to join Dreams FC.
