German-born Ghanaian youth forward Richmond Tachie has commenced official duties at German side Borussia Dortmund.
Tachie, 21, signed for the Bundesliga giants last week after leaving German Liga 3 side Viktoria Koln where he spent just a season.
The young forward possesses considerable pace which is a massive advantage for a wide player of his sort with an extra burst of speed down the flank and can create clear goal-scoring chances together with his finishing ability.
Dortmund have drafted him into their second string side with an aim to promote him to their first team squad if he keeps within the club’s target for him. His stamina and graft combined with his other, more obvious attacking attributes are what make him such a valuable player for club.
Some German youth football scouting experts have spoken high of the Ghanaian and described him as a potent attacking weapon which can destroy any team at any point.
Tachie is a German youth international after making a range of appearances for the European powerhouse’s youth sides along with John Yeboah and several other promising players.
The youngster started his career with TeBe Youth but moved to Wolfsburg Youth in 2013 summer where he steadily progressed through the youth ranks scoring for fun and carving a niche for himself. He had a short spell at third-tier side Viktoria Koln before moving to join Dortmund.
