German Bundesliga II side St Pauli have completed the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Daniel Kofi Kyereh who is also eligible to represent Germany.
Kyereh, 24, joins The pirates of the league after seeing out his contract with relegated Bundesliga II side SV Wehen.
Pauli, along of Hamburg SV, had been following the exploits of the midfielder during the course of the German season and made him their number target.
The Accra-born, who has a German mother and a Ghanaian father, rejected a fresh contract term offered him by Wehen as he left the club on June 30.
The midfielder is quoted as saying: “When I first ran up at Millerntor in the past season, I already realized how extraordinary this club is. Even with the values that St. Pauli represents, I identify myself one hundred percent. I’m super excited that the switch worked out and those responsible tried to help me so early. I’m curious about what’s coming and I’m sure we’ll develop well as a team, especially with these fans in our back.”
