Ghanaian midfielder Daniel Kofi Kyereh has insisted he is looking forward to the new challenge at German club St Pauli.
The 24-year-old completed a move to ‘The Pirates of the league’ as a free agent after finishing his contract with relegated Bundesliga II side SV Wehen.
Kyereh, a former academy product of Wolfsburg, was exciting for Wehen in the recently ended Bundesliga II campaign after scoring 7 goals in all competitions and providing 6 assists.
He told the press on Wednesday: “When I first ran up at Millerntor in the past season, I already realized how extraordinary this club is. Even with the values that St. Pauli represents, I identify myself one hundred percent. I’m super excited that the switch worked out and those responsible tried to help me so early. I’m curious about what’s coming and I’m sure we’ll develop well as a team, especially with these fans in our back.”
He rejected a fresh deal from Wehen as Pauli beat Hamburg to his signature.
