His Manchester City counterpart Pep Guardiola is also going into the game without his key striker Sergio Kun Aguero as the Argentine is nursing an injury.
Real Madrid are expected to line up in a 4-3-3 formation that would feature goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois – Dani Carvajal, Marcelo, Eder Militao, Raphael Varane – Casemiro, Luka Modric, Federico Valverde – Eden Hazard, Karim Benzema, Marco Asensio.
Ghana has a large proportion of English Premier League fans with a sizeable portion belonging to Manchester City who are the home side.
Former Ghana international Michael Essien featured one season for Real Madrid during the spell of Jose Mourinho at the club.
The La Liga Santander champions have a respectable community of fans in the country which has almost 30 million soccer fans.
Fans are expected to gather in pubs and match centers to watch the game which will be shown on live TV across the world.
