Ghanaian international Solomon Asante has been nominated for the USL Player of the Month of July Award.
The 30-year-old has hit top form for promotion-chasing Phoenix Rising and his performance in the month has earned him a nomination for the coveted accolade.
Asante, a former TP Mazembe star leads the USL most chances created chart with 17 chances and has notched 2 goals in 3 matches in the month.
However he has to beat competition from Bruno Lapa of Birmingham Legion FC as well as Kyle Morton of Saint Louis FC among others.
Other players competing for the top award include Tyler Pasher of Indy Eleven and Kenardo Forbes who plays for Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC.
Asante was voted the MVP of Phoenix Rising last season.
