Asante Kotoko supporters’ circles chief Nana Agyemang Prempeh has called on the club’s life patron Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to dissolve the club’s board.
The outspoken Circles 8 chairman believes the waving impasse among the board of directors and the Chief Executive Officer is inimical to the progressive course of the club.
He has vehemently spoken against the lack of leadership and harmony among the board members and has reprimanded CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah for his reported conduct.
“I will call on Otumfuo to dissolve the board because what is currently happening in the board is not what any supporter envisaged. What is going on is detrimental to the development of the club,” he told Benedict Kwadwo Mensah on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Morning Show on Monday morning.
Several media reports from Kumasi have suggested bad blood among the board members and the CEO and Prempeh has confirmed the reports.
“Nana Yaw Amponsah has threatened to resign from the CEO position twice within one month of his appointment and that doesn’t speak well of him. I will urge him to develop a big heart if he is to survive at the club. Else he will not last for one year as CEO of the club,” he added.
Ghana Sports Online authoritatively reported about the acrimony among the board of directors to the point of the chairman of the board and the CEO considering resignation from their positions. Vice Chairman of the board Jude Arthur has failed to attend any of the club’s recent board meetings.
