Newly formed Five Star Football Club on Thursday handed a painful 1-0 defeat to Alhaji Franco’s Zaytun Academy in a cagey friendly at the Zaytun Sports Complex in Kasoa.
Fives Stars’ coach Razak Lomotey who has vowed not to lose any game before the season starts in November deployed some tactics during play in the first half to score the first goal through Cyril Harrison who pounced on a deflected goal bound ball to score the first goal of the afternoon to end the first half one nil.
The second half resumed with much aggression and composure from the Zaytun lads with the focus to equalize but the defensive set up of Five Star commanded by Aikins kyei Baffour saw the Zaytun boys making some fruitless incursions.
Some few substitutions from both sides saw another tactical distribution of balls in the midfield but was later dominated by Five Star but never utilized the advantage to increase the tally so saw the game cruise to 1-0 win in favor of FIve Star football club.
