Ghana coach Charles Akonnor has handed call up to France-born Ghanaian defender Alexander Djiku in his 23-man squad for next month’s FIFA international friendly with Mali.
The 26-year-old was born to a Ghanaian father and a Senegalese mother in the France city of Montpellier.
Djiku, 1.82 m tall, has no international experience despite being eligible for three countries.
The latest call up will mean the central defender will commit his international future to Ghana and has opted to represent four-time AFCON winners.
He is one of the players who have earned maiden call ups to the Black Stars.
