Promising Ghanaian wunderkind Omari Forson displayed great precocity by scoring a brace for Manchester United in their 5-1 hammering of Burnley in the U18 Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The 16-year-old offensive midfielder made scoring his mainstay of the game as he took the opposition to the sword with decisive finishes from range.
Omari set the tone of the game when he raced the Red Devils into an 8th minute lead against the Lancashire neighbours by taking a short pass from Dillon Hoogewerf before beating Burnley keeper Sam Waller with a fierce drive.
Forson grabbed his second goal of the game after 75 minutes, slamming the ball into the top corner, and then Burnley pulled one back, five minutes later, with a header from Kade Ratchford.
Omari becomes the latest Ghanaian youth player to surface at Manchester United following the exploits of John Cofie and Yeboah Amankwaah.
Marcus Rashford and Danny Welbeck also have Ghanaian roots but both opted to represent England’s Three Lions at international level.
