Ghana Premier League side AshantiGold have received a major injury boost as forward Emmanuel Owusu has returned to training.
Owusu, 19, watched the Miners opening day 2-2 draw with Karela United FC from the stands at the Len Clay Stadium due to a minor leg injury.
The winger’s personal physiotherapist assessed the extent of the injury and cleared the player to return to training 10 days ago.
AshantiGold heavily felt the absence of the lightening-paced winger in their opening day draw and are eager to have him back into their folds.
Throughout last week, the Sunyani native who is considered a key member of the AshantiGold set up, trained separately away from the squad but is set to join them for full sessions next week.
AshantiGold will face Burkina Faso side Salitas on November 26, 2020 in the CAF Confederation Cup and are hoping to have Owusu available for the tie which will come off at the Len Clay Stadium.
