Hundreds of Ghanaian fans have taken to social media to react angrily to comments passed by Ghana Football Association Executive Council member Nana Oduro Sarfo over the state of the Golden City Park pitch.
Football fans in the West African nation have been left livid by the posture and unwholesome words employed by Oduro Sarfo who also doubles as a director of Berekum Chelsea.
Sarfo told Accra-based Angel FM that he prioritizes watching Nigerian movies ahead of discussing relevant issues related to the state of the Golden City Park.
“Some of the players even play on grassless pitches so what are you talking about? Nobody has asked you to call me. I’m watching Nigerian movie and that is more precious to me at this point. We have finished playing the game and I don’t care about anything anymore. If you don’t understand go and ‘collect’ the three points from us,” he told Accra-based Angel FM.
His comments have left fans livid as they have called for him to be removed from his position as an Executive Council member.

Concerns were raised about the nature of the Berekum pitch after photos emerged on social media on the eve of the crucial Ghana Premier League fixture involving Berekum Chelsea and Asante Kotoko.
Camera images from the game has been described by experts as unfit for purposes such as marketing and branding while it also distorts football’s game flow and blighting away the beauty of the game.
Berekum Chelsea shared the spoils with Kotoko in the game which saw experienced striker Emmanuel Clottey scoring a last-gasp finish from a free-kick after Kwame Opoku had opened the scoring for the Porcupine Warriors in the first-half.
Clottey’s celebration antics has been described as disrespectful and unsportsmanlike by most fans after he took off his jersey, brandished it at the Kotoko bench before hauling it at them. He has since apologised for his actions.
