Ghana Premier League side WAFA had their pre-season suffer a jolt as they lost 1-0 to Division One League side Tema Youth in a friendly on Wednesday.
The Sogakope-based side tested their mettle against the Tema-based side who are also preparing for the start of the Division One League in the first week of December.
Both sides used the game to assess their battle readiness and it was Tema Youth who emerged winners as youngster Emmanuel Owusu grabbed the match winner.
WAFA open their Ghana Premier League campaign with a home tie against King Faisal at the WAFA Arena in Sogakope.
