Ghana international defender Nicholas Opoku was sent off while in action for Amiens in the French Ligue 2 on Friday.
The 23-year-old, on loan from Udinese, received his marching orders on the 54th minute after committing a foul inside the box.
Opoku went into the referee’s pocket on the 23rd minute mark in the first half and eventually received his second booking when he fouled an opposition player inside the area.
However Valenciennes failed to convert the penalty which was awarded as a result of Opoku’s penalty gift.
Amiens eventually secured a 2-0 win from the game and have moved to 9th place on the league log.
Midfielder Emmanuel Lomotey starred in the game Amiens as he lasted the entire period of the game for the winners with defender Emmanuel Ntim playing in central defence for the losers.
