Medeama secured their first victory of the season at the expense of Ebusua Dwarfs at the Cape Coast Stadium on Saturday in the Ghana Premier League.
Samuel Boadu’s men booked the victory thanks to a cracking finish on the 71st minute mark by midfielder Agyenim Boateng.
The 24-year-old found his mojo along with the rest of the Mauves team who worked tirelessly on the afternoon until they brought down their opponents.
Despite their fine form last term the Mauves had had a difficult start to the campaign and even lost to Dreams FC.
Boadu paraded all his potent arsenals in the line up he assembled with Justice Blay, Kwasi Donsu and Rashid Nortey all going into the game with huge zeal and ambition to win.
The Mauves have leapfrogged themselves out of the relegation zone to 9th berth with 5 points while fellow title contenders AshantiGold, Hearts of Oak and Aduana remain in the drop zone.
