Bechem United resisted a strong Inter Allies side to claim a 2-1 victory over the Eleven Is To One at the Accra Sports Stadium in the Ghana Premier League on Saturday.
Former Ghana U20 skipper Hafiz Konkoni snatched victory for the Hunters in a game that failed to produce any goals in the first half.
United won a penalty 11 minutes after the interval and Moro Salifu elected himself to dispatch the ball home for the game’s opening goal.
But, Allies responded via similar means as they snatched the equaliser from the spot when Paul Abanga drew them level.
It was Bechem’s game to lose as they perpetually went in search of the winner and they were rewarded 7 minutes from time when Konkoni hammered the ball home for the ultimate prize for his side who have now climbed temporary to top spot on the chart.
