Maxwell Konadu has left Asante Kotoko as head coach after the club announced that they have relieved him off his duties at the club.
The 24-time Ghana Premier League title winners took the decision following the defeat to Great Olympics on Thursday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
“Thank you coach Maxwell Konadu,” a short statement on a flyer released by the club read.
Under Maxwell Konadu Kotoko have won just 1 games in all competitions this season after drawing 3, winning 1 and losing 1.
During his tenure as head coach of Kotoko the former Ghana international took charge of 21 games of which he won 9, drew 7 and lost 5.
The club has appointed Johnson Smith in an interim position ahead of the upcoming games against Dreams FC and Sudanese side Al Hilal in the CAF Champions League.
