As part of effort to create harmony and friendship among football fans in local communities, the youth at Adenta will engage themselves in a football game on Thursday.
The game which will be solely played by the young folks in the Adenta Community will have supporters of the two most glamorous clubs in Ghana (Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko) lock horns at the Adenta Community School park.
Hearts of Oak and Kotoko’s age-long rivalry have been extended to the local community as inhabitants of Adenta play for the bragging rights for their respective Clubs despite the game aimed at fostering unity among the youth in the area.
This year’s clash however features some well-known football stars in the Community.
Popular community stars Emmanuel Lartey Mfarfo and Dennis Kwabena Akoto lead Hearts of Oak and Kotoko respectively as captains.
Former Ghana U23, Black Stars B and Ebusua Dwarfs forward Richard Gadze as well as 2009 FIFA U20 World Cup winner David Addy are all expected to feature in the game.
Bernard Hayford, formerly of Hearts of Oak and Dreams FC is also expected in action.
Adenta have produced several football stars in the Ghana Premier League.
Hearts of Oak’s Larry Sumaila, George Ansong of Liberty Proffessionals and Techiman Eleven Wonders left back Felix Akorlor all played Community football in the area.
