Akyem enclave set to return to good old days as huge announcement is expected between Susubiribi and Planners

A huge announcement is expected to made in the coming days in Ghana football as Okyeman Planners Football Club and Susubiribi Football Club look set to announce a merger.

The new entity is expected to offer a new sense of common footballing goal, unity and purpose for the people of Akyem. The new club is expected to be known as Susubiribi Sporting Club.

Planners and Susubiribi FC decided to merge into one entity in a move to bring the entire Akyem people together in a bid to drive support and unity among the people.

Chiefly among facets of the club to be affected are the share-holding structure, constitution of a new management, brand positioning as well as a new facilities.

The club’s share-holding structure is likely to change with new shareholders expected to come on board the new entity. Mr George Afriyie is 100 percent owner of Okyeman Planners FC and will be joined by other influential personalities on the board.

A new management structure is expected to come with new brand colours which will reflect on the traditional colours of the people of Akyem.
