Ghanaian striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom got his Górnik spell to a false start as he watched them bundled out of the Polish Cup on Wednesday evening.
The 28-year-old, who signed a short-term contract on Monday, was named as part of the matchday squad for Górnik and was introduced on the 90th minute mark after Górnik had already lost the game.
Górnik, the away side on the evening went 2-0 down but Spanish international Jesus Jimenez scored twice to pull them level.
However the hosts scored two late goals to snatch victory from the game and secure progress to the semi-finals at the expense of Boakye and his teammates.
He joined Górnik on a short-term contract after leaving Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade.
