Dutch-born Ghanaian Brian Brobbey climbed off the bench to provide assist for David Neres to score the winning goal for Eredivisie giants Ajax Amsterdam in the Europa League on Thursday.
Brobbey, 19, was introduced on the 55th minute for Brazilian Antony and he eventually set up the match-winner scored by Neres.
Davy Klaassen scored the opening goal for Ajax in the opening quarter of an hour but Turkish Yusuf Yazici struck midway through the second-half to give hope to the French side Lille who lost the first leg 2-1.
But, Brobbey climbed off the bench to score an 88th minute goal to propel Ajax to victory in the game.
Brobbey was born in the Netherlands to Ghanaian parents and has represented the Dutch at youth level though he is eligible to feature for the West African powerhouse.
