C K Akonnor invites Dreams FC defender Philemon Baffour to Black Stars

Ghana head coach Charles Akonnor has handed a call up to Dreams FC defender Philemon Baffour who excelled with the triumphant Ghana U20 squad at the 2021 U20 AFCON in Mauritania.

Baffour, 20, played an instrumental role in Ghana’s success at the U20 AFCON and has been rewarded for his performance for Karim Zito’s team.

He starred in all matches played by Ghana at the tournament and is one of the three players who have been handed call up into the Ghana senior national team.

Goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad who has had limited playing time at Asante Kotoko has also been called up along with midfielder Abdul Fatawu who won the MVP of the tournament.
