Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko cruised to an emphatic 4-0 win over Bechem United at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors won each half of the game 2-0 with Ghana international defender Abdul Ismail Ganiyu and Brazilian Fabio Gama scoring on the 13th and the 44th minute marks respectively.
After the break Francis Andy Kumi and Brazilian forward Michael Vinicius sealed the points for Mariano Barreto’s side who have now leapfrogged bitterest rivals Hearts of Oak to go 3rd on the ladder.
Portuguese trainer Barreto handed a full debut to former Unistar Academy striker Andy Kumi and the 21-year-old forward took full advantage of it by scoring his debut goal for the club.
Meanwhile Brazilian import Michael Vinicius took just 3 minutes after coming on as a substitute bench.
