Ghanaian teen sensation Curtis Ofori came off the bench to make his second appearance for New York Red Bulls II in the USL Championship on Friday night.
Ofori, 15 years 175 days old, replaced Colombian Juan Castillo on the hour mark at the MSU Soccer Park at Pittser Field when Miami FC won 1-0 in the encounter.
The game marked Ofori’s second game for the Bulls since he signed a professional contract for them in late March.
Ofori joined Red Bulls Academy in 2017 starting with the U-13’s. He made 67 appearances and recorded five goals.
Born in Hopewell Junction, the defender became the youngest signing in franchise history at 15 years and 122 days old.
He was born to Ghanaian immigrant parents in the United States of America.
His Ghanaian compatriot Michael Knapp starred in the game for the entire period.
