Liberty Professionals staged a commanding second-half display to beat Dreams FC 2-1 in the Ghana Premier League on Saturday.
Agyenim Boateng Mensah combined with Precious Boah to race Dreams into a second minute lead following a defensive howler from debutant Daniel Amissah.
The Believers dominated the game after the early lead and left Liberty widely unsettled for the rest of the first stanza.
After the break Liberty started to press and work even harder to level things up but Dreams remained resolute in defence matched the hosts boot for boot until goalkeeper Isaac Amoah fell Liberty attacker Kwaku Karikari inside the penalty area.
Attacking midfielder Abraham Wayo elected himself and firmly planted his effort past the goalkeeper for the equaliser with 52 minutes gone.
Kwaku Karikari once again turned provider as he set up Maxwell Ansah to score the match winner in the 74th minute to seal the win for the hosts.
Despite securing the maximum points Liberty still remain in the drop zone where the likes of Inter Allies and Eleven Wonders are.
