Asante Kotoko coach Mariano Barreto has insisted that his side is not under pressure from arch-rivals Accra Hearts of Oak.
The Phobians, who honour their matchday 27 game against Berekum Chelsea at the Accra Sports Stadium, are heavily breathing down the necks of Kotoko in first place and would open a 2-point gap at the summit if they win against the Blues.
A victory for the former African champions will compound Kotoko’s title challenge but Barreto has insisted that his side is under no pressure.
“No, we are not under any pressure from any team. We are under pressure to improve ourselves but not from other teams,” the former Ghana head coach told Prince Annan during the post match interview.
Kotoko have gone temporarily top of the table after the draw but their place at the summit of the table will be determined by results of other games including Hearts of Oak’s clash with Berekum Chelsea on Sunday evening.
